Outreach Report 4/10/2026
Our team gathered to serve and minister to those in our community. We began the evening by preparing food and spending time in prayer together, asking for guidance and the opportunity to bring hope through the message of the Gospel. Scripture was shared from John 4:39–41, reminding us that many believed because of one person’s testimony—a powerful reminder that our testimony matters. After loading supplies, the team headed out to several locations in the area.
Out on the Streets
At our first stop, we met a man who shared about fear connected to past associations and concerns about his safety. After talking with him, we shared the Gospel and prayed for protection, freedom from fear, and for God to reveal Himself in a real way. During prayer, he became emotional. He also received food and essentials.
We also spoke with another individual who had recently lost his housing and was in need of shelter. We prayed with him before continuing on.
Continuing the Night
At another location, we met several individuals facing different challenges.
One woman shared that she is currently living in a tent and hopes to find a stable shelter. She spent time talking with the team and was prayed for.
We also met a couple who are both part of a local church community and have previously served in outreach themselves. They shared that they recently lost their jobs and housing. They expressed gratitude for the support being offered and were prayed for before receiving food and essentials.
Another individual shared that he is currently living out of his car. He was open to conversation about getting connected to the community and church. After prayer, he received food and essentials.
Language Barriers and Next Steps
We reconnected with a man we’ve seen several times in recent outreaches who speaks only Spanish. This time, a team member was able to communicate with him more clearly.
He shared that he had come to the area for work but recently lost his job and has struggled to find new work due to the language barrier. He was open to going into a shelter. We were able to connect him with information about a local shelter that serves Spanish-speaking individuals and offered to take him there. He chose to gather his belongings first and planned to make his way there shortly after.
We prayed with him before moving on.
Reconnections
Later in the evening, we reconnected with someone we had not seen since helping them get into detox last year. After some conversation, we realized who he was. He remembered the team and expressed gratitude for the help he had received. He was provided with additional essentials and prayer.
We also connected again with several familiar faces we regularly see during outreach. Conversations centered around their current situations, and each person was prayed for and provided with food, clothing, or other essentials as needed.
Closing the Night
After visiting several locations, the team returned, unloaded supplies, and spent time debriefing together.
We are grateful for each opportunity to connect with people, to listen, and to pray. We also appreciate everyone who came out to serve, including those joining us for the first time.
